Pros and cons of Beatdown! app for iPhone and iPad
Beatdown! app good for
this game is amazing but i wish random hereos need have survival mode too lol
Faith restored in humanity again , happy to see that there are some developers that still know how to make games
love the game, cool style, cool story and art direction. But why dont you guys take some cue from league of evil control. Its attrocious and barely playable. Please fix it.
This da bomb just gotta love the retro style of this game buy it
Love beatdown its so much fun and endless thats even more fun it it also has the big screen for the IPhone 5
Love the game worth the $0.99
This brings back memories of Double Dragon II on the NES. Brilliantly done!
Some bad moments
Final Fight has to be my most favorite game of all time (or at least close to the top). So when a new beat em up is released, Im super excited to try it out.
This one falls a bit short. The first issue are the controls. Thanks goodness I got the 8-bitty by iCade (and I could kiss these guys for rolling in support for it) because it makes the game a lot funner. I tried all the variables and all touch screen controls are quite poor. The issue is contact patch and freezing after combos which forces you to lift up and put your thumb down again. Frustrating!
Getting to rage mode takes too long too. I get it with 3 enemies left to smash. Dont know how anyone is supposed to beat up a 100 guys whilst in it.
The lack of throws or even close range combat makes things feel very flat. Final Fight had the wisdom to add a special move and some close range combat. This would definitely benefit from that!
The enemies need better AI and the whole game could use a notch up on the hardness. Its just too easy. Like way too easy. To the point of boring.
Its a great game that almost gets there!
Love, love, love this dev....BUT
Wait for a demo if you really want to try this thing.
I waited eagerly for this after beating 100% of all the league of evil 1,2 levels, yes even the impossible ones. Also all of Random Heroes.
Very early into this game but...the beatem up mechanic is paper thin. New meets old fighting was done so well a few years back in Scott Pilgrim. This isnt that, this isnt 5 percent of that.
Hate to say it but this dev needs to go back to their roots. Though Id be shocked if they havent figured that out already on their own.
So sorry for the harsh review, just that people shouldnt get ripped off. Even by a usually great dev.
This game could be great but poor directional controls ruin the experience.
I want my money back! Totally not worth $0.99! All you do is punch people while walking and it has a terribly stupid difficulty. Not worth it
The fighting is a little fun but its always the same and the game often glitches and crashes
The game has wonky movement controls and your health is pretty low but overall great! Hoping to see an update soon for these!
